Roshani and Aman are a beautiful and dynamic couple.The bride is a brilliant author and story teller. She is able to create different versions of the world in her mind and package them up beautifully for her audience’s indulgence. We like to imagine that as event designers, we are also story tellers--creatively expressing our client’s stories through design. What we created was to tell a story of a modern opulence. It was like a bold dream, which was somehow edgy and soft and ethereal.

400 person wedding reception
Challenge
Many event professionals can attest that time is usually never on our side. We met with the family just two months before the wedding date. They had incredible taste and big imaginations. Needless to say, there was mutual chemistry and understanding that we wanted to create something magical together. This also meant that in order to properly execute our vision, we needed a well thought out plan. The day started with an overnight load-in into the first venue. Beginning at 1AM, box trucks were loaded up with several thousand stems of premium floral and a team of designers set out to design the ceremony which needed to be set by 6AM. Spacing came in close second for one of our biggest challenges. Placement of each element was mapped out and reconfigured several times during the many site visits.
Solution
Magical Mandap
To reflect the grand setting of the Southern Exchange Ballroom, we designed a 12ft Mandap for Roshani & Aman's traditional and Christian ceremonies. A rich profusion of white hydrangea, white garden roses, and greenery were used in this organic design, creating a dramatic & magical moment.
A Grand Entrance
To begin guests' sensory experience, we created a dramatic 8 foot tall white cherry blossom tunnel that guests entered through to the Egyptian ballroom of the Fox Theatre. Guests were immediately transported into a world inspired by fairy tales with design details that captured the couple's personalities and vision.
Enchanting Estate
Continuing the dramatic design, we created a 32 foot long floral canopy that floated above the luxurious bridal estate table.
Set the Stage
Bringing a whimsical natural element into the ballroom, we custom designed a lush blooming branch tree on the stage that was inspired by the bride's first novel.
