Mailchimp is one of the most successful email marketing platforms in the world. To help throw an exciting employee event, Mailchimp turned to Edge Design Group to create a immersive experience that would boost employee morale, community, and loyalty.

Challenge
Taking an existing venue Mailchimp used for the past year and designing a new concept & environment for the guests to enjoy. Given just the SPACE theme, they granted us the creative freedom to design solutions that immersed guests and displayed Mailchimp's company culture.
Solution
We transformed the Fairmont into a solar galaxy that transported guests into another world the moment they stepped into the venue. We managed multiple vendors throughout the 3-day installation ensuring that the vision was executed flawlessly.
DJ Rocket
We designed and constructed a 15ft rocket for the DJ to perform on, complete with cryo bursts to be released during the DJ’s play set. The Rocket had to be built to support the weight of the DJ’s equipment and stable on top of a stage, fitting between the existing beams/light tracks.
The 2nd Floor
To accommodate the increased guest count of 2000, we designed two second floors on either side of the space to add more square footage. To encourage guests to utilize the second floor, we placed experiential elements such as photo booths, tarah card readers, etc.
Fire Dome
Utilizing the outside space, we brought in a 20ft dia. dome that produced fire at the top heating the area. We placed a lounge inside to bring guests outside adding more real estate to the party.
